Proud to partner with Altona Junior Football Club for the season ahead
21 August 2026
KNOWN is proud to partner with Altona Junior Football Club, home of the Vikings. Our name is on the boundary and on the club's gear, and we are backing the club for the season ahead.
It is a partnership that feels natural. We love getting involved in our local community, and few things bring a community together like a junior footy club on a Saturday morning.
Why junior football matters
Team sport gives young people something special. It teaches them to turn up for one another, to back their teammates and to keep going when things get hard. It builds confidence, resilience and friendships that often last well beyond the final siren.
For many kids, the club is also a place to belong. Whatever their skill level, there is a spot on the team, a coach who believes in them and a group of friends working towards the same goal. That sense of belonging is something we care about deeply.
Empowering kids through team sport
We believe in empowering young people, and team sport is one of the best ways to do it. Learning a skill, taking on a role, winning together and learning from a loss together: these are lessons that shape who kids become.
Every young player who pulls on a Vikings jumper deserves a club that backs them all the way, and a community that turns up for them. We are proud to stand behind the club, its players and the people who coach and support them.
The people who make it happen
Behind every junior club is a team of volunteers. Coaches, team managers, trainers, canteen crews, committee members and parents give their time week after week so kids can play. Setting up, packing away, running the boundary and organising the season all take real effort, usually without much thanks.
To every volunteer at Altona Junior Football Club: thank you. The work you do gives young people a place to play, grow and belong, and it makes our community stronger.
Part of the community we serve
At KNOWN, being part of Altona means more than selling and managing homes. Our work brings us into homes and conversations right across the area, and we want to give back to the places where connections are made.
Supporting local sport is one of the most direct ways we can do that. When you see the KNOWN signage at the ground, we hope it is a reminder that we are part of this community too, and proud to be.
Why local clubs need local support
Junior clubs run on goodwill, and they rely on the businesses around them. Local support helps with the everyday costs of keeping a club going, and it tells players and families that the wider community is behind them.
For a local business, there is no better investment than the community itself. The families at the ground on a Saturday are our neighbours, our clients and the next generation growing up in Altona. Backing their club is backing the place we all share.
We would encourage other local businesses to get involved with the clubs in their area too. Every bit of support helps, and the return is a stronger, more connected community for everyone.
Community, the KNOWN way
KNOWN for community is one of the ideas at the heart of our brand. It is not a slogan. It is about showing up, backing local people and being part of the life of the suburbs we work in.
Our partnership with the Vikings is one expression of that. It sits alongside the way we work every day: being present, being honest and treating every client and every neighbour with care.
Game day
We look forward to seeing the Vikings take the field this season and to cheering on every player, from the youngest juniors up. Good luck to every team.
